Pilate Wife A Novel of the Roman Empire Antoinette May Books
I could not even finish reading this, I was so disgusted. I have to wonder what the author could possibly have against Claudia to paint such an unflattering depiction of her. the only virtue that May seems to attribute to her was that she was a loving daughter. it seems to be common practice among recent authors to completely vilify historical figures--with no solid research whatever to justify this character assassination.

Pilate Wife A Novel of the Roman Empire Antoinette May Books Reviews
This was an OK read. I bought it so I could learn more about Roman History. The story is very fictional. It covers Claudia, the wife of Pontius Pilate's life. The positive is that this book opened up a lot of conversation with my Christian friends who study the bible (I have not, so I had many questions.) I googled a lot throughout this read. The author covers many debatable areas of Jesus' life. Did he go to Isis' Temple in Egypt? Did he marry a prostitute? I found many areas to be far-fetched, like when Claudia was initiated into Isis' world and when Livia forced Claudia into the Villa of Mysteries. I know the Romans had sacrificing rituals, but it seemed the author was going for shock value. The premises of this book is that Claudia has insight through her dreams. She advised Pilate to not get involved with Jesus, which as most people know her dream didn't come true.
To begin with it was the wrong book ,partially my fault. But I started reading this book and couldn't figure out why my friend had picked this book for our book club. I didn't enjoy what I had read at all.
Was suppose to have been Pilot's Wife. Don't recall that I was given a choice, Author was Anita Schrive..
Guess I will send first book to Good Will and hope it make somebody happy.
Was pretty good. it dragged in some parts. I was expecting more in the way of her interactions with Jesus.
Not much is written about Claudia Procula and this was really a good book. It takes you through her life and so many points of history, not just what her husband is known for.
Excellent story from an unusual perspective. Filled with historical fact and plausible fiction. Extremely entertaining.
Our Bible Study class is studying Claudia - Wife of Pilate. While this book appears to be a novel, some of the facts are true. It should prove helpful in our study. I only just started the book. The condition of the book was excellent.
Pilate's Wife is somewhat strange storyline compared to other similiar books in this line. Main character seems "goofy" not so believable to me.
